High Peak

Phoenix is in the heart of New Mills on the edge of the Peak District, Derbyshire and is close to a wealth of community facilities including local shops, leisure centres, swimming pools and a gym. The service is very close to the Peak District National Park, Chatsworth House and Gardens, Lyme Park and several cycle trails and campsites.

The service is split into three separate buildings; The Lodge, The House and The Cottage. There's a lovely large garden with trampolines, swings, space for BBQs, a summer house and a sensory area.

The team helps people we support to develop skills either at the New Mills Education Centre is just a ten minute walk away and at work placements in the community. We play an active role in the local community and join in with in traditional Derbyshire Wells Dressing carnival every year and other local events and festivals.

There are excellent transport links; the service is close to the local bus routes to surrounding areas including Manchester, Buxton, Stockport and Glossop and the railway station is a fifteen minute walk away. The service is close to the A6 which provides direct access to Manchester.
