Role Overview

 

As a Business Systems Manager, you will be responsible for configuring, testing, and deploying business applications based on user requirements and specifications. You will maintain and update existing applications to ensure functionality and performance, provide technical support and training to our helpdesk team, and create and maintain documentation for application usage, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve 3rd line IT issues, stay updated with emerging technologies, identify opportunities for process improvements, ensure seamless integration of business applications, and liaise with software vendors to resolve issues.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Configure, test, and deploy business applications based on user requirements and specifications.
  • Maintain and update existing applications to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Provide technical support and training to our helpdesk team to ensure they can effectively support our end users.
  • Create and maintain documentation for application usage, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve 3rd line IT issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate best practices into application development.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure seamless integration of business applications with other systems and platforms within the organisation to facilitate data exchange between applications.
  • Liaise with software vendors to resolve issues that cannot be handled internally.

The Main Skills and Experience for This Role

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with IT applications.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining business applications.
  • Experience with system integration and API development.
  • Understanding of information security principles and data protection regulations applicable to systems management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrable in-depth understanding of recognised industry best practices and frameworks concerning IT Operations and Support (i.e., ITIL practitioner or equivalent).
  • Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference.
