Job Title: Communications Manager
Location: Hybrid, Chesterfield (1 day a week in-office)
Salary: £45'000 to £50'000 Per Annum (Dependent on experience and qualifications.)
Working Pattern: 37.5 Hours Per Week

Role Overview
As a Communications Manager, you will:
- Develop strategies and deliver communications to engage our colleagues and turn strategy into action.
- Be accountable for delivering a wide range of internal comms campaigns to support business strategy, engage colleagues, and promote wellbeing
- Develop and deliver an internal communications calendar of activity.
- Equip leaders to engage their teams in the strategy and key actions.
- Own and develop the intranet and engagement app.
- Own and develop other internal channels.
- Manage change and integration communications.
- Deliver virtual and face-to-face events.
- Use measurement and insight to report on activity and influence plans.
- Be an excellent copywriter.
- Develop comms communities as a source of content and feedback.
Your Responsibilities
Develop communication channels.
Work with designers to create and deliver content briefs.
Create engaging communications material in a range of formats.
Manage the editorial calendar.
Create campaigns to maximise impact from the available budget.
Support and Manage Stakeholders
Coach leaders to deliver communications.
Give communications advice to leaders and project teams to deliver business outcomes.
Understand business plans so you can use communications to turn strategy into action.
Create audience heatmaps and insight.
Audit communications effectiveness.
Measure KPIs.
Develop comms communities as a source of content and feedback.
The Main Skills and Experience for This Role
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Internal communications experience.
- Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills and experience.
- In-depth understanding of channels and tactics.
- Planning and organisation skills.
- Good understanding of analytics and reporting.
- Intranet management experience.
- Innovative thinker and incredibly motivated.
- Stakeholder management.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the social care sector.
- Delivered communications in multiple sectors.
- Change communication experience.
