Job Title: Lead People Partner

Location: Chesterfield (Hybrid) with weekly travel to our services in the region.

Salary: Circa £55'000 Per Annum 

Working Pattern: 37.5 Hours Per Week

Role Overview

 

As a Lead People Partner, you will be a champion for colleagues and employees across the UK, ensuring they have a positive and enriching work experience. You will lead a team of People Partners, developing and implementing initiatives that enhance colleague engagement, satisfaction, and overall well being. This role involves building relationships, growing talent, and identifying key opportunities for staff to advance in their careers. You will be a real voice and advocate for the sector and business, driving a culture of excellence and inclusivity.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to enhance colleague engagement, satisfaction, and wellbeing. 
  • Identify and nurture talent, providing opportunities for career advancement. 
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, managers, and departments. 
  • Serve as a passionate advocate for colleagues, ensuring their voices are heard and valued. 
  • Manage and support a team of People Partners, providing guidance and development opportunities. 
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve colleague experience and retention. 
  • Oversee the completion and analysis of monthly and annual surveys, taking action to address feedback. 
  • Champion ED&I initiatives, creating an inclusive workplace. 
  • Lead consultation processes for internal and external projects, such as TUPE or internal transfers. 
  • Manage people data, providing insights to the Senior Leadership Team to drive improvements. 

 

The Main Skills and Experience for This Role

  • Possess a CIPD qualification (level 5 or above) or equivalent experience. 
  • Extensive experience in HR or a related field, with a strong track record of enhancing colleague experience. 
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules. 
  • Resourceful and capable of finding solutions to challenges independently. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. 
  • Ability to handle unexpected or urgent matters calmly and effectively. 
  • Proficiency in HR Software.
